I’m currently at the beach on holiday with a bunch of friends I have known almost my entire life.
Peter emailed me this morning with this picture to tell me how much he missed me and this photo made him think about me.
He took of me last year while we were in the Cayman Islands staying in a fabulous suite on Seven Mile Beach. I had just woken up (and yes…I actually go to bed dressed like this sometimes and this is what Peter sees when he wakes up) and he took the camera from the nightstand and snapped this pic. You can see my tan lines from a few days of Caribbean sunshine.
So I thought I would share it so you can see that I actually live the ‘MyScarfGirl’ lifestyle 24/7.

Peter and I were in Halifax, Nova Scotia in Canada this week, and had a wonderful time staying on the Harbour, visiting the restaurants, and exploring the sites, even with tropical storm Cristobol raining on us.
What I didn’t know is that the Northeastern storms would delay me an extra 48 hours in Canada. I was supposed to leave yesterday but my flight was cancelled. Today the flight I was on went, however there was a MASSIVE oversight and the passengers on a flight that had been cancelled today were booked on my plane and in MY seat! Since I didn’t have a seat I couldn’t go through Customs, and there was only ONE guy on the ticketing side that even knew what to do. He was obviously tied up with the cancellations (no puns intended), and then by the time my flight even went out I would have been stuck in Boston, not being able to make my connection.
I decided to take a voluntary bump off the plane for a round trip ticket, hotel, and meal….better than being stranded in Boston.
Who know what tomorrow holds? I hope I get home, but if not, I LOVE CANADA!
The photo below was taken by Peter on our arrival day when we went down to the waterfront for dinner. We had a very nice meal and some Canadian wine at “Salty’s” and enjoyed looking at the water and watching the boats go by. Although Peter (and some guy sitting at the table next to us) spent a lot of time looking at me. I wonder why……

I am a HUGE music fan and Peter is even worse than I am. We’ve attended many, many concerts in our years together and we attended a couple of excellent concerts recently.
The top photo was taken on the balcony of our hotel suite in Newport Beach, California prior to us leaving for a Crosby, Stills and Nash concert at our favorite venue anywhere in the world; The Greek Theatre in Hollywood. This scarf is 29″ x 29″ and comes from Banana Republic and both Peter and I like very much. It knots so nicely and I love the look on me. The concert was outstanding and now we’ve seen almost 10 different acts at “The Greek”.
The bottom two photos were taken this past week in New York City at a Bon Jovi concert at Madison Square Garden and what a FANTASTIC show it was! I had never been to Madison Square Garden before and I was really looking forward to seeing Bon Jovi in such a legendary venue. You can always tell when a band has been together for a long time because they actually sound as good live (maybe better) than they do on their albums. The scarf is a 24″ x 24″ Banana Repuplic, which I just wore in shooting a custom video for a client of ours. I’ll share a bunch of photos from that shoot soon.

Here is a quick photo of me on our way out to dinner the other night to our favorite restaurant, Houston’s, down in the Washington D.C. area. We’ve eaten at over 25 different Houstons all over the United States and it is always exciting when we go to a new city that allows us to add another location to our list. The scarf is actually from the Gap and I have a bunch of them. I think they are really cute. The Gap doesn’t sell nice scarves anymore and I miss that. Luckily I have almost 20 of theirs in my collection already.
