Middle Eastern Dress

by Caroline, Scarf Queen on May 25, 2008

Outside mosqueI’ll be posting some more photos from this trip, but I this is the first one and I know Peter liked it a lot.

I’m currently in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates and it is just such an amazing place.  I was with Peter in New York last week and then flew straight from there to meet up with two of my girlfriends for a week of getting to know Middle Eastern culture.  Honestly, this is one of the most “westernized” of the Emirates in this region.

Before I left New York, Peter made sure I was stocked up on several large, silk scarves that would make excellent headscarves for those moments when I would need one.  This one is from this terrific selection of 42″ x 42″ heavy silk squares that Peter acquired and you will see increasingly in photos and videos soon.  Actually, there is already a photo set and video on BoundDomination that uses a bunch of them called “Scarf Encased Sex“.

In this photo we’re on our way into a Muslim Mosque and although I thought I was wearing clothing that adaquately covered my skin, they still requested that besides the headscarf I put on this long robe to cover everything.

Silk Wrappings on my Birthday

by Caroline, Scarf Queen on May 22, 2008

BirthdayThis photo was taken on our way to my birthday dinner at one of my favorite resturants, Fleming’s Steakhouse.

Somehow it has worked out that Peter and I have spent three of my last five birthdays in Denver, Colorado and I’m sort of enjoying that tradition.

I also enjoy the reaction I get from Peter when I dress in an outfit that I know he is going to find VERY sexy.  The “welcome” photo for MyScarfGirl of me wearing the black dress and Hermes Bolduc scarf around my neck was taken in our hotel room on our way to my birthday dinner last year.  I guess I hope that you all will start enjoying my sexy birthday outfits as much as Peter does.

This scarf is an Emilio Pucci that Peter gave me a while back and I really love it.  The blouse is a wonderful silk wrap-style that I received for Christmas last year.

Please let me know if you like this photo since there a lot more of me in this outfit and I wonder whether or not I should post them.

Virginia Wine?

by Caroline, Scarf Queen on May 11, 2008

Sorry for not writing since my actual birthday, but Peter and I had another wonderful dinner at one of our favorite Denver restaurants only to have to wake up early the next morning to catch our flights.  He went straight to Washington D.C. while I got to stop home for a few hours before joining him there.

After he picked me up at Dulles Airport we decided to head off to a racetrack/casino a friend had told us about in Charles Town, West Virginia since we’d never made love in that state.  The casino and track were okay, but we added our West Virginia notch to our exploits in their parking garage afterward.

Our favorite part of the day though was visiting a vineyard in rural Virginia and enjoyed tasting some of their local wines.  It was a little crowded due to it being Mother’s Day, but we strolled through the vines and took in the very pretty countryside.  Sorry no photos of me wearing scarves, but I promise to post a photo of the closet full of nicely ironed silk nightgowns and scarves Peter had waiting for me at the hotel upon my arrival in a later post and in the MyScarfGirl galleries.

On my Birthday-eve

by Caroline, Scarf Queen on May 8, 2008

On my Birthday-eveI think this picture is cute.  I was waiting for Peter to return from work in this really shiny nightie and a Banana Republic scarf that I know he loves.  It was sweet he had a surprise of a dozen roses for me for my birthday, which was the next day.  He ALWAYS insists on snapping a photo of me whenever I am wearing a sexy scarf.

Blogging 101

by Caroline, Scarf Queen on May 8, 2008

Today is my first blog…done after I’ve been trying to format the blogging software to look like MyScarfGirl.com

Peter got me the “WordPress For Dummies” book, and I’m not so much a dummy (I knew plenty of the overview stuff they went over), but I thought it would help save time doing research on my own.  Sometimes it sure does help to let someone else answer all the questions for you rather than a “trial and error” situation.  I feel pressed for time too.  Life tends to always be about figuring out what is the most important and pressing task…and then get that done for the day.

So far setting up and formatting the blog software was pretty easy, although there is still some tweaking to do.  I’d like it to flow completely with the structure of the main MyScarfGirl website, rather than looking like it is hosted elsewhere.  I’m just learning as I go, and fully expect to make plenty of errors.  I just hope that it doesn’t affect your viewing pleasures, lol!

MyScarfGirl.com is coming along well.  I edited the neckscarf pictures yesterday and got them live.  Today I did all the headscarf thumbnails.  I still have to get the full sized edited photos done, as well as the descriptive text.  This is taking more time than I thought it would.  For search engine optimization, the search engines want all the pictures to have descriptions of their own.  And the descriptions have to be descriptive but not too long.  They are a bit restrictive with the terms, since I want to write “scarf” for every entry, and then any pertitent term to make sure all the scarf lovers out there find me.

Stay tuned.  I’ll try to get as many pictures as I can up on the website before Friday.
